| We will be using photo editing
software to manipulate and collage multiple images. Our layout design
will demonstrate understanding of composition techniques such as the "Rule
of Thirds."
Photo Editing - Creating Layers & Transparent
Images
We will create transparent images using the application
LiveQuartz
and create our comic covers using ComicLife .
It is also possible to create a multi-layered image entirely
within LiveQuartz.

about LiveQuartz..) or or a variety of other photo editing
applications.
Task:
Create a collage image that demonstrates use of image
layering & transparency, as well as design layout principles (Composition)
that demonstrate the photo concepts learned in Part 1.
This will be used as your comic cover.
The comic cover must include...
- Background Layer - find or shoot
a fitting background/setting for your image (see below)
- Transparent Layer - Shoot a medium-close-up
photo representing your superhero. Look into the camera so that you
are facing the reader.
- Additional Layers - Include any other layers
that will complement the image. You should include important story details.
- Title - "Your Superhero Name" -large
font size
- Subtitle - "Story Title " -large
font size
- Your Name & Date - "Comic Created by
Your Name" & "Date" -small font
size, but clearly readable
- Narration -
One short paragraph explaining how
you gained your power (backstory)
- Apply the photo composition concepts learned
in Part 1 of the project.
